Pain Pain Go Away

Yesterday evening, David's pain level began to spike dramatically to the point of wondering if he should go to the hospital for higher doses of morphine. Eventually, with enough morphine pills, marijuana, and putting his fentanyl patch back on (a slow release pain med. patch) he got the pain under control and had a very good night. Patrick and Katheryn took night duty to let Shanna get some rest.

Today, David is feeling gggrrrreeeat! We all went out to breakfast and he has been cruising around in his GoGo surveying the property. He is looking forward to having many more days like this.

  1. David,

Linh just sent me an e mail with the blog address. I've thought of you so often since I received the news of your cancer. I've been through the blog and loved the photographs of your family and friends! My wish is that you continue to feel ggrrreeeat for many more days.

    Much love,
    Cindi & Devin

  2. Dear, Dear Friends,

Thank you, so very much, for taking the time to update those of us out here in cyberland who care about you VERY much !

Though we are not on the island, we are with you in our hearts !

I am currently on the shores of the Atlantic down in Massachusetts with my parents. They have been needing some extra help lately.

So from one part of the ocean shore, to another part of the ocean shore, loving thoughts flow.

And THANK YOU For the WONDERFUL pictures ! I LOVED seeing David and Shanna in the pool !

And Berny and I don't see a lot of movies, but we liked the movie, Contact. And also enjoyed the movie Amelie.

Thank you again for taking the time to update us when you have lots of other things to do. It means so much to hear about the highs and the lows and the humor and Indiana Jones !

MUCH, MUCH love is flowing to you from all over the place !

    Your friends, Berny and Martha

  4. Thank you, David, for so generously providing an example of an examined life that was wonderfully lived. Those of us privileged to have shared it in some part will always be grateful.
I love you today and always.
Shanna, Katherine, Aaron and Seth and all our extended family - you are loved and are not grieving alone.
    Lauryn
